The MGRV8 web site

Please allow me to tell you why I think you should seriously look into my idea and passion to also buy an MG RV8. Today these cars are what is known as a "young" classic car. This came about during one of my last trips to England. During this trip I inquired with many of the classic car experts that I met: "what according to them would become the future classic-car within the next 10 years?"

My brief was very simple!

It had to be a car which was very original, built in very small quantities, a lot of fun to drive, very pleasant to look at, easy to maintain, yet affordable. Most important of all, it had to practically guarantee a sizeable increase in its value. The answer was the same everywhere: Take a good look at

MG RV8

You could compare the MG RV8 to a smaller version of a Bentley or to a mini Rolls Royce Corniche with the top up. It is a very beautiful both inside and out. When it was launched, back in 1992, it was called "The Poor Man's Rolls Royce" by the press. The leather and the wood used inside the car are identical to that used for a Rolls Royce.

I have learned the hard way that these cars in top condition and with very few Kms are so very difficult to find, don't forget there are only 2000 of these cars in the whole world (1983 production cars and 17 pre-production cars). That is the total quantity that was ever produced. It is estimated that today only 1650 to 1700 cars are still running. It has taken me a very long time and a lot of very tricky detective work to be able to learn how and where to find the best of these cars

The value of this car should, in my mind, increase considerably within the next 10 years, there seems very little doubt about that. All the classic car experts compare it to the famous Jaguar E-Type story. Today the first MG RV8's are "only" 13 years old. NOW is the time to buy them if you can find them. However you have to be extremely careful and knowledgeable about what you are doing. As is always the case with classic cars, there are also a lot of "bad apples" around.

The price of an MG RV8 is still very much affordable at the moment, although prices have started to increase because, apparently, I am not the only person who has perceived this. Other people have started to catch on and are recognising the investment potential. Lets face it, it is so much more fun to own a beautiful unique motor-car then it is to own shares in a company in which you absolutely have no control.
